The Federal Department of Health and Human Services awarded a $2.5 million dollar grant to the Institute for Youth Development to assist faith and community based organizations in competing for federal grants. Through this grant 20 regional workshops per year for three years are being offered to provide information on grant opportunities, technical assistance in the preparation of grant applications, and will conduct a federal style sub-grants competition for participants. Participants of the workshops will be able to compete for average grants of $30,000.
Each year between 55 and 95 grants will be awarded. Eligibility is limited to faith and community based organizations that have never been awarded a federal grant. Visit the Institute for Youth Development website at www.youthdevelopment.org for a listing of the nearest regional workshop.
