Miles College |
The
First Hundred Years
Miles
College: The First Hundred Years, (Arcadia Publishing) takes a
photographic look @ the history of Miles College that’s blended with
colorful narrative educating readers with little know facts,
information, humor, and testimonials from Alumni about the rich history
of this revered institution. This project is the end result of efforts
by the Miles College Centennial History Committee, which includes
several Miles College Professors: Drs. John Morgan, Gary Sprayberry,
Robert Woodrum, and Dr. George T. French, Jr. Director of Institutional
Planning & Development.
With over 200 vintage photographs, “The First Hundred Years” paints
a vivid account delineating, rather clearly, the struggles facing the
small Black College during the turn of the 20th century spawning the
legacy that is now Miles College. Miles College: The First Hundred
Years, now available in area bookstores, independent retailers, on-line
bookstores, or through Arcadia Publishing @ www.arcadiapublishing.com or
(888) 313-2665. www.miles.edu
