| Last week, our 14th Quadrennial Connectional Lay Institute convened in St. Louis, Missouri. We had a very successful and well attended meeting and celebration! The open forum, worship services, Meet the Candidates forums, and deliberative sessions were outstanding and used the latest technology! I write to thank you for your support. New Dates Announced for Connection Lay Institute |

Officials of the Department of Lay Ministry have announced new meeting dates for the 14th Quadrennial Connection Lay Institute at this year's Annual CME Convocation/Lay Institute in Saint Louis, Missouri. Contractual issues resuting in scheduling conflicts necessitated the change that requires the Lay Institute to now precede the Annual CME Convocation. Press Release |

| Atlanta-Rome gives Awards & Recognition | ||||||||
| The Atlanta-Rome District is sponsoring an Evening of Awards and Recognition on Saturday April 25. This evening is called the Trumpet Awards and will give recognition to outstanding churches, lay persons, stewardesses and individuals who have distinguished themselves through community service and ministry. Pastors are asked to nominate individuals from churches to be considered as award recipients who will be judged alongside the total amount of nominees. The award service will be held at the Paul D. West Middle School in East Point and tickets to the awards ceremony are available in the Church Office at $30.00 each. Our own Bro. Jason Lee will be the Master or Ceremony and Sis.
